Luxury Comfort in the Mountains
Beautiful Lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - We enjoyed our stay so much at Bweza Lodge we extended our stay for an extra night. The lodge has the most amazing location overlooking the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.... read more After gorilla tracking it was so relaxing to sit on the terrace with a cool drink enjoying all the sights and sounds of the forest.
We were overheard discussing the three horned chameleon (jokingly pronounced camel lion)! Before we knew it Gavis had organised a search party and within 20 minutes a branch appeared supporting a beautiful chameleon! Thank you!
Judith and Gavis looked after us so well then after a hot gorilla tracking experience they were on hand to give us refreshments. Also a big thank you to Alex for looking after our walking gear!
A big thank you to the chef and kitchen staff, being a vegetarian I wasn’t sure what to expect, however I really needn’t have worried...I enjoyed every meal. We particularly enjoyed relaxing after dinner around the fire chatting to the other guests.
Hopefully one day we will return to Uganda and a stay at Bweza Lodge.
I was able to spend an unforgettably beautiful week with Wyclef from Gorillas and Beyond Safari in Uganda. During our trip we slept two nights at Bweza Gorilla Lodge.

I can say without a guilty conscience that this is the best lodge in Uganda. Already the journey there is worth it. You see a lot of scenery of this magnificent country. Upon arrival at the lodge, you are warmly greeted by the staff with a welcome drink as well as a moist towel. One feels immediately welcome and comfortable in the lodge.
The rooms are very spacious and offer an unforgettable view of the Bwindi National Park. I especially enjoyed the time on the large terrace directly in front of the bungalow, from where you can watch birds beautifully.
The food was also very tasty and everything was very fresh. Wyclef tries especially with the food to pay attention to seasonal dishes and also wants to involve the nearby population. Therefore, he tries to get food from local farmers whenever possible.
All in all it was really an unforgettable stay and I can recommend this lodge to everyone with the best of my knowledge. I will definitely come again!
Mealtimes are undoubtedly one of the main highlights of the lodge – an extravagant and mouth-watering affair! Discover the flourishing organic vegetable garden, and relish sublime farm-to-table dining with fresh produce and ingredients.
